By reputation, Davis, California is a 'liberal, progressive' university community with 'high-performing' schools. But as in many American communities, beneath the surface lay marked racial disparities in schooling experiences and hurtful race relations. Charting more than 7 years, 'From The Community To The Classroom' documents the transformative power that youth in conjunction with adults had on one community's successful albeit ongoing quest for racial justice.

Andrea Jones, DMA Board President, and Lea Rosenberg will be hosting various guests throughout the evening.

Guests will include various candidates for office, members of the Davis City Council, and proponents and opponents of Measures Q and R.

This is a public meeting at Davis City Hall by the Woodland-Davis Clean Water Agency, formed in 2009. 12-20-2010.

Woodland and Davis are tow of only a few cities in California that rely entirely on groundwater for water supplies.  Unfortunately, increasingly strict water quality regualtions will make it impossible for the cities to provide water service in the future using only ground water supplies.
