This episode of "In the Studio" spotlights local nonprofit Therapeutic Riding and Off-Track Rehabilitation, commonly called TROTR. Located on Road 102 between Davis and Woodland, TROTR is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to assisting retired racing horses learn new careers, as well as caring for abused or abandoned horses and finding them new, loving homes.

Dutch Born UC Davis Distinguished Professor Emeritus Geerat J. Vermeij of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences is a prominent paleoecologist and evolutionary biologist of our time.

His latest book “The Evolution of Power" will be published in November 2o23 by Princeton University Press.
