This painting captures the feel of wild and rushing water as it tumbles down a mountainside, covered with rocks and fallen trees. As if coming down steps the water cascades to the bottom, taking everything in its path with it, only to become a calm pool at the bottom.

“Tongass Narrows” Ketchikan, AK

The subject of this painting is taken from the coastal area along the Pacific Ocean just south of the town of Ketchikan. Reflections of trees in water and logs washed up along the shoreline give the viewer a sense of how natural the beauty is, while the hint of mist evokes a feeling of serenity.
