Promotional Announcement

This short video promotes visiting or vacationing in Davis, CA. Places that visitors to town and local residents often visit are highlighted. The video was created for a Final Cut Pro X class taken at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, CA.

This documentary film, produced by Ya-nah Geary, will feature two Miwok elders.  They are members of the Oliver family of Buena Vista Rancheria, and they have taken a stand to preserve and protect it because that is what their elders instilled in them.

Patrick Shearer hosts Nathan J. Travernicht, Fire Chief, UC Davis Fire Department, and Shawn Kinney, Division Chief, City of Davis Fire Department to discuss the roll out of "PulsePoint," an app that citizens with CPR experience can download and use to help save lives. They also discuss Sidewalk CPR programs, involving citizens with the fire department, and automatic external defibrillators.

Steve Butler is an artist and furniture maker with more than 20 years experience in the field. In his garage workshop, he'll share with you the way to make fun, funky projects without having all the fancy expensive shop tools of the other shows. Anything from fine furniture to cool, artsy objects are what he's making. The Garage is a how-to show unlike any other.
