Topics discussed include: The celebration of Juneteenth 2013.  This observance commemorates the emancipation of slaves in Texas on June 1919, 1865. The interview covers the celebration in Davis on June 22nd at the Veteran's Center.  Also included are images from the state library and readings from African American Poets.

Travernicht, Fire Chief, UC Davis Fire Department, and Shawn Kinney, Division Chief, City of Davis Fire Department to discuss the roll out of "PulsePoint," an app that citizens with CPR experience can download and use to help save lives. They also discuss Sidewalk CPR programs, involving citizens with the fire department, and automatic external defibrillators.
