Davis Chorale

The Davis Chorale is an auditioned choral ensemble of about 50 singers from Davis and the surrounding area. The Chorale's varied repertoire ranges from master choral pieces, Renaissance a cappella works, orchestral works with chorus, to comtemporary pieces. The Chorale's mission is to build an inclusive community that educates, enriches and entertains the greater Davis community and the Chorale's singers through the quality performances of great choral literature.

The Davis Chorale, Children's Chorale and Chamber Orchestra present a choral concert "Grant Us Peace". They perform Chichester Psalms by Leonard Bernstein and Mass of the Children by John Rutter.

Chichester Psalms features the Davis Chorale, Ben Cross Boy Soprano, Ryan Enright on Organ, Beverly Wesner-Hoehn on Harp and Thomas Rance on Percussion

Mass of the Children features the Davis Chorale, Soprano Nancy Streeter, Baritone William Zinn, Davis Children's Chorale, and Chamber Orchestra

This concert features performances of Benjamin Britten's Choral Dances from Gloriana, John Corigliano's Fern Hill which is the setting for Dylan Thomas's elegant poem about youth and age, and Gwyneth Walker's Dreams and Dances. 

Mezzo-Soprano Tania Mannion is featured in Fern Hill.

The concert was performed at Brunell Hall in Davis on April 5, 2014 at 8pm

This concert features two classical choral pieces; Missa Brevis K192 by W.A. Mozart, and Cantate No.196 by J.S. Bach. As well as two contemporary pieces by composer Ola Gjeilo; Dark Night of the Soul and Luminous Night of the Soul.

It featured the Davis Chorale, a string quartet, piano and organ along with soprano, alto, tenor and bass soloists.

The performance was held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Richard Brunelle Performance Hall on the Davis High School campus

The Davis Chorale under the baton of Artistic Director Alison Skinner performed their holiday concert, Christmas in the Americas on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Brunelle Hall on the Campus of Davis High School. In this performance you will hear music from North and South America. On the program are carols from Canada and the U.S. along with two larger works featuring 2 Spanish carols; Navidad Nuestra by Ariel Ramirez and Carols and Lullabies by Conrad Susa.
