Davis Youth Media Project

Davis Youth Media Project is geared to the Davis youth to help and train kids to learn the technologies and gain experience in the Video field.

They are held at the 3rd & B Teen Center at 5pm on the first and third Wednesdays of every month, and are open to students.

In conjunction with the Davis Teen Center and Mel Lewis, Climate Coordinator for the DJUSD, DMA is involved with a burgeoning youth media project. In informal conversations to date, these partners have identified the following goals: develope initial media projects for Davis youth; develop leaders amongst Davis youth to sustain project; facilitate media trainings at the Teen Center; and bring content to KDRT, DCTV and a new Davis Youth Media blog. The project has launched with the Student Voices radio show and a scheduled media training at the Teen Center on March 18.
