And what do sheep in New Zealand have to do with climate change? We live in a globalised world. Events in Asia have repercussions in Europe. European reactions have knock-on effects in South America. The situation in the Amazon Rainforest concerns us all.

GLOBAL 3000 ? widening horizons by examining the global consequences of local actions ? and vice-versa.

We bring you news, reports and portraits on globalisation issues. Viewers can contribute to the programme by sending in their personal stories and experiences, helping shape a weekly broadcast that gives new insights into the world-wide community to which we all belong. You can watch host Peter Craven probe a guest about what life is like in Germany. Be they local celebrities or just people who?ve achieved something unusual and interesting, they will be talking in 'Talking Germany.

A seasoned journalist, who hails from Britain and has been based in Berlin for many years, Peter Craven knows Germany, knows his guests and knows how to get them to open up. Short video reports about various current issues here help you get an up-close look and add some background. One of Peter?s main aims on the program is to get to the bottom of what is typically German in 'Talking Germany.'
