Flight School takes off from the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia. This is a series of four electronic trips for students in grades 4-8. Students will experience aviation from the ground up, thorough the outer atmosphere and beyond! Higher, Faster, Farther! examines how knowledge of the forces of flight inspired engineers and aviators to go higher, faster, and farther than ever before. From propellers to jet engines, from subsonic to supersonic speeds, it explores revolutionary innovations as well as showcasing many of the pioneering women and men who made it all possible.
