Artist, Kitty Lynne Klich, captures on canvas a scene from her journey traveling south along the Pacific Coast Highway. She stops to rest at a viewing area along the road overlooking an atmospheric view of the shoreline in the distance. Everything is bathed in a soft blue violet hue as the clouds and mist lay heavily over the trees beyond, with the little hidden beach below.

While driving along a backwoods road in Cowlitz County, while visiting the state of Washington , the Artist happened upon Mill Creek. The sun shining through the evergreens, on the cool clear water rushing over the rocks, compelled her to capture this spectacular glimpse of natural beauty on her canvas.

Memories of happy times there, finding treasures that had washed up on the shore, are shared while she captures on canvas the natural beauty of Shi Shi Beach, located along the Pacific Ocean in the north western part of Washington State.

(1) Reconstruction of the South Yard, the slave quarters at the James Madison mansion, marks the beginning of a new chapter at Montpelier.  (2) A beautiful Iron Age Mirror found by a metal detector in Oxfordshire, UK, is a piece of craftsmanship used more than 2,000 years ago.  (3) HMS Fowey, a British frigate, struck a coral reef and sank in 1748, coming to rest within the boundaries of Biscayne National Park.  The National Park Service conducted underwater excavations on the site.
