In mid-June 2012, our community was rattled by a noose left hanging on the Davis High School football field and by several incidents of racist graffiti around town. In response, the City’s Human Relations Commission is working in partnership with Davis Media Access to create a video collage focused on tolerance.  Community members were invited to come by media center on July 12 to share their viewpoints and hopes for our community.

Teenagers (aged 12-17) and young adults (aged 18-24) are two age groups for which sensitivity to age is especially importnat in the practice of prevention, treatment, and recovery. What are the most effective approaches to preventing underage drinking and the use of illicit drugs - including the nonmedical use of prescription medications - among youth?
