This is episode #222 of Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction. The episode was originally shown in April 2009. It features an interview with best selling author David Weber, talking about his latest novel, Storm from the Shadows. The book is the latest installment in Weber's "Honorverse" military science fiction series.
Episode 222 also includes Colleen Cahill's review of the Scholastic book series The 39 Clues, and Marianne Petrino's review of the anime series Mushi-Shi.

Episode #221 features an interview with author Jennifer Allison, who writes the popular Gilda Joyce, Psychic Investigator series of books. This episode was originally shown in March 2009.

Jack Foley is an innovative, widely-published poet and critic who, with his wife, Adelle, performs poetry frequently in the San Francisco Bay Area: together, they perform choral pieces, duets. Jack has published a number of books of both poetry and criticism. For more than twenty years, he has hosted a show of interviews and poetry presentations on Berkeley radio station KPFA. His show, Cover to Cover airs Wednesdays at 3.

This is John Rhodes and Clara Hsu's San Francisco Open Mic Poetry Podcast TV Show. In this show only Clara will read. I won't. Jesse Glass is a friend of Jack Foley who lives in Japan. Jack Foley has been on before. He works on a literary show on Berkeley KPFA, his also works with Poetry Flash in Berkeley, and the Alsop review. Jack had been kind enough here to let Clara do a choral piece with him which is usually done by Adelle Foley.

This is John Rhodes and Clara Hsu on the San Francisco Open Mic Poetry Podcast TV Show. This month we have Carolyn Mary Kleefeld and Peter Thabit Jones on. Carolyn Mary Kleefeld is a renowned Big Sur poet and Peter Thabit Jones is a well published Welsh collaborator with her. He was a writer in residence at the time of this filming in Big Sur. This was mainly filmed at the Big Sur, Henry Miller Memorial Library.
