Episode #282 of Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction features an interview with author Charles E. Gannon. He talks in depth about his new book, Raising Caine, the third volume in his Tales of the Terran Republic/Caine Riordan series. Dr. Gannon discusses the political complexities of his future history, as well as the biology of his multiple alien races.

As a special treat, this episode of Fast Forward also goes on location, featuring short segments recorded at the Library of Congress and the 2015 World Science Fiction Convention.

Episode #281 of Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction features an interview with award winning author and game designer Neal Stephenson. Mr. Stephenson talks about his latest science fiction novel, Seveneves. He discusses his reputation for including strong female protagonists, his life-long fascination with the space industry, and the many years it took to finish the book.

Mr. Lerner talks about his latest novel, InterstellarNet: Enigma, as well as other books in the InterstellarNet series. He discusses his process of writing, and how it has led to several shorter stories, including his Hugo Award nominated "Championship B'tok". Mr. Lerner also talks about the several books he wrote in collaboration with Larry Niven in the Fleet of Worlds series.
