In a celebration acknowledging years of planning, design, review and outreach, the nonprofit Davis Community Meals and Housing (DCMH) announced the greater Davis community has raised more than $4 million of the estimated $5 million cost to replace its dilapidated building at 1111 H Street with Paul’s Place, a new innovative, multi-functional facility, designed by a local architect. Paul’s Place will provide day services, critical health and human resources, emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing to people living homeless in Davis.

4th Annual Hats Off to Diversity High Tea

"Out of Africa" was the theme for the 4th Annual Hats Off to Diversity High Tea.   Presented by the Tese Foundation on November 4, 2018, at the Davis Veterans Memorial Center.

100% of proceeds of this annual event go towards tuition for girls in Africa and promoting the diversity and literacy for underprivileged youth in the USA.

This highlight video features the Da Vinci Charter Academy 2017 Dragons' Den from December 16, 2017.

Dragons' Den is an event where 23 student teams create a viable small business for Davis and produce five- to 10-minute pitches to "Dragons"-  asking for investments in their businesses in return for a share in the company. This is a business fair type event, where judges proceed to each groups booth.
