"Black Lives Matter" (5 minutes)

In the wake of recent raised awareness about racial injustice and police brutality, the Sacramento chapter of the NAACP sponsored a march for racial justice on December 13, 2014.  Similar marches took place that day in Washington, DC, New York City, and several other locations throughout the United States. Media Edge producer Michael Stavros was at the Sacramento event and produced this video.

Social equality activist Angela Davis spoke to a capacity crowd at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Sacramento on December 5. With recent events in Ferguson and New York on everyone’s mind, Ms. Davis spoke eloquently about these and related concerns. A Media Edge crew was on hand to record this inspirational event.

"The Fragile Promise of Choice" (57.5 minutes)

Through vignettes from cities and rural areas around the country, this documentary examines how restrictive legislation, in an atmosphere of harassment and violence, affects the lives of abortion providers and the women who seek their services. The film features interviews with community doctors, women seeking services, clinic directors, clergy, and counselors. Their stories illustrate the increasing number of situations in which legal does not necessarily mean accessible.
