The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlonia a biannual competition that challenges collegiate teams to design, build and operate net zero houses, which are energy efficient, affordable, and attractive.

This takes place at the Orange County Great Park in Irvine, California.

The four teams (comprised of eight colleges) are:

1. Team Orange (University of California, Irvine, Champman University, saddleback College, Irvine Valley College)

2. California State University, Sacramento
