(1) This animated short film is an imaginative take on the ritual farewell of an old female shaman whose 12,000-year-old burial in an Israeli cave informs about the early development of religious beliefs. (2) New rock art designs w ere discovered recently around the Rock Art Archaeological Park of Campo Lameiro (PAAR) in Spain. The Galician Heritage Council conducted fieldwork on them in order to analyze and register the panel, record the presence of more panels around that vicinity and include them in the PAAR.

Built-in 1899 during the Spanish-American War as one of six fortifications designed to protect the southeastern American coastline, Fort Fremont closed out a 350-year-old legacy of coastal fortifications in Port Royal Sound, South Carolina. It is an artifact of homeland security spanning European colonization and 19th-century imperialism. This film documents how geography, technology, national security, and politics interacted to shape the fortunes of a community during the Spanish-American War.

We open the show with a brief introduction and what we are looking forward to seeing and doing while at RI Comic Con. Calvin does an interview with Travis Landry of Bruneau and Co. Auctioneers. James interviews actor Jason Marsden about his voice and acting work. Ian interviews artist Pui Che of PUILLUSTRATED. Marc interviews T.J. Feldman about Sol Sector, a Star Trek fan club.

After more than 700 consecutive weeks (since April 3, 2005) of providing two hours of progressive programming every week to cable access channels throughout the United States, "Media Edge" will suspend its operations for awhile.  During this hiatus, we will be re-tooling to upgrade to high definition video, in addition to getting some much-needed rest (and dealing with health-related issues).

Plus awesome tips on researching and learning for free online! (2) This journey of beautiful art and nature showcases the grandeur of Ambajogai city in Maharashtra, India, which was a center of cultural developments around the 10th and 11th century. Seven inscriptions have come to light there, informing on the town structure and local cultural heritage.
