Rev. Dr. Barber inspired a packed Moon Lecture Series audience to their feet with his enthusiasm. He was the architect of the “Forward Together Movement,” which gained national acclaim with its Moral Monday protests. He is the President of “Repairers of the Breach,” sits on the National NAACP Board of Directors, and is the 2015 recipient of the Puffin Award and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Award.

Rev. Dr. Barber described himself as a theologically evangelical, liberal, conservative, charismatic, liberationist, revolutionary, militant Christian.
