(1) In this episode of the ArchaeoDuck series, Annelies Van de Ven lends us her expert take on archaeology and museums, and talks about some of the AMAZING fieldwork she has done as part of her research.  (2) Close to the Austrian border in northern Italy, the show’s hostess, Francesca, is instructed by Dr. Franco Marzatico on the prehistory of the Alpine region of Trento.  This is the first of two episodes, featuring Neanderthal and early Homo sapiens remains, stelae from the 3rd century BC and lake dwellers of the Neolithic.

World War II combat veteran Francis Resta travelled to Europe for the 75th anniversary activities and was interviewed by Dutch television. One of Francis' goals for the trip was to connect with the family of the Dutch doctor who saved his leg.

DaVinci Senior Zahra Baxi, a member of the local Girls Who Code Organization, organized and hosted a 'Women in Tech' event at UC Davis on Saturday, October 19, 2019 which included a keynote speech from LeShelle May and a panel discussion with three other guest speakers that included: Nina Amenta (Chair, Department of Computer Science, UC Davis), Donna Davies, (STEM Adviser and Pre-college Consultant), and Sean Glantz (Computer Science Teacher, Da Vinci Charter Academy).
