Topics discussed are how the brewing of beer is done, the nutritional value of beer, what is drinking in moderation, the taste, look and alcohol content from beer to beer, and a short history of how malt, hops, and yeast were discovered by the nomads, and how in China brewing beer dates back to 5000 years BC.

Climate change has motivated Jim to install solar in 2013 and wishes that he installed more. He bought  a Chevy Bolt EV in 2017. He has a cool and super simple switch to route his 220 dryer plug to his 220 EV charger.

Chris and John share how they made energy efficiency upgrades before they got solar so they were able to install a pretty small system (1.9kW). Now they have an EV they purchased used. Now they are thinking about moving to all electric to switch water heater and heating system.

Eugen shares the story of the Muir Commons community housing coop in Davis CA. The 26 unit complex got solar installed on their common house to offset their energy usage. Additionally they applied for and got a grant from PG&E to get 26 charging stations installed. Since the chargers have been installed many new EV's have been showing up in the complex.
