From teaching media literacy and technical skills to kids who, by and large, aren’t getting that information in school; to a full range of voter education programming; to highlighting important community events, non-profits and local musicians; to providing free access to quality equipment; and so much more, DMA builds community. Space available to rent

Here's the information: Davis Media Access, centrally located at 1623 Fifth St. in Davis, has approximately 850 sq. ft. of office space for lease. The second floor suite features easy access to two bathrooms, skylights, balcony access, fiber internet access and up to two dedicated parking spaces. For more information please contact Melrina A. Opportunity for Studio Host Intern

We are ready to recruit additional help in the form of our next Studio Host Intern, for a position spanning at least Jan.-March 2014.

I know the rain and winds are not everyone's cup of tea, but here in my namesake season, I'm in my element! The changing colors and gusty winds remind me that nothing stays the same, and all is possibility. Sure, it's a metaphor for life, but for community media as well. Equipment and technology changes, our services change (look for some new trainings this winter - Social Media For Beginners, Social Media for Parents, and Introduction to Final Cut X), and we are encouraged to envision changes to patterns and systems.
One thing that remains constant is our appreciation of this community. I hope many of you can join us for our open house on Dec. 2 (see below for details). It's a fun way for us to say thank you to the many people who make up DMA's community, and to celebrate our own independent outlets for media here in Yolo County.
