This episode of "In the Studio" spotlights local nonprofit Therapeutic Riding and Off-Track Rehabilitation, commonly called TROTR. Located on Road 102 between Davis and Woodland, TROTR is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to assisting retired racing horses learn new careers, as well as caring for abused or abandoned horses and finding them new, loving homes. TROTR is home to programs that include school and community outreach, and therapeutic horse riding--a growing and widely-accepted treatment for rehabilitating people with a range of physical, mental, and emotional disabilities.
