John Munn has long been active in local Republican Party politics, serving frequently as Chair of the Yolo County Republican Central Committee during times of contention within the local group. In 1998, John Munn was elected to the Davis School Board of Trustees, and was famous for getting along well with the four Democrats. One example of his roll-up-our-sleeves-and-get-to-work philosophy is: "People come to a meeting liking to talk; when they are ready to go to work, I have a motion to put on the table to address the issues at hand." John Munn wants to talk about the outcome of the school tax election, and his concerns about the water treatment proposal. John Munn is an announced candidate for the Republican Party nomination for the newly mapped 4th Assembly District, so that will become part of the discussion.
